The Rock is a new 100 seater restaurant, with the most spectacular views. Whilst fully air-conditioned, we can throw back the large windows when the weather allows, giving access to the sun-drenched terrace just yards from the waves lapping against the shore.
Our summer menu is as inviting as our view and there is something for everyone. You can kick back, enjoy your favourite food and one of the best views this idyllic island has to offer.
Our Executive Chef, Steve Harris, has a passion for simple food with plenty of flavour. Constantly evolving and taking inspiration from fellow Chefs, he will delight you with seasonal food using ingredients that are at the peak of their freshness and availability. All of our food is locally sourced.
His extensive knowledge of suppliers on the Island will ensure that you will enjoy some of the best produce that is available, and with his impressive pedigree at some of the finest restaurants on and off the Isle of Wight, including Michelin starred Lords of the Manor in the Cotswolds, you will be in for a treat.

We serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner at The Rock and we are open to residents and those who simply want to join us for a meal and soak up the atmosphere. If you just fancy a drink, then our bar is also open to everyone who wants to relax and enjoy the beach view.
With over 90% of our products coming from Island suppliers, we are proud to promote the ingredients being used within our dishes. Highlights include garlic from the world-famous Garlic Farm, Isle of Wight tomatoes, meat from our on-island supplier ‘Billy the Butcher’ & family and fish from multiple Island suppliers. The Cabin is at the heart of the hotel and probably the oldest surviving part of the building. As today, it welcomed everyone back in the 1700’s, whether they were staying the night or simply passing through.
Of course the new Cabin is a far cry from the smoke filled rooms of the Georgian tap house. Now fully refurbished with a coastal chic feel, the beach views can be enjoyed through the panoramic windows, with a drink in hand. Serving beer, wines and cocktails, there is something for everyone and all are welcome.
